What’s great about Pinnacle Fresh Water Rods?
As with our reels, Pinnacle Rods are designed and built by fishermen for fishermen. We listen to you, we listen to our pro staff and we listen to our customers in an effort to identify the various rod styles, lengths, actions and components needed to cover your fishing needs. Our freshwater rods offer various methods of blank construction including high modulus graphite, graphite composite and strong dual layer construction with solid fiberglass tip as used on Power Tip models. For each rod series only quality guides, guide thread, reels seats and handle grip materials are selected. Handle grips are either contoured cork or EVA foam depending on rod series.
Pinnacle rods also undergo a Quality Control inspection process. As you would expect however the check points and test procedure are somewhat different from those used for reels. As with reels incoming raw materials are inspected by Pinnacle engineers to be sure they conform to specifications. Prior to installing guides and handles every rod blank is hand inspected for straightness and robustly flexed to insure against structural defects in the blank construction. Then each finished rod is thoroughly inspected prior to packaging and a sampling sent to the lab for more comprehensive testing. And finally the rods are inspected upon arrival at our U.S. facilities.
